Yoga Explained
Traditionally the aim of Yoga was to
focus
the mind on an object and to retain that focus without distraction.
With the pace of modern day life, our minds become scrambled and often
seated in negative thoughts, it is hoped that after a session of Yoga,
that you will feel more positive, relaxed and focussed - a real stress
buster.
This state is achieved by using a sequence of carefully arranged postures or Asanas,moving with and controlling the breath.
The
physical benefits of releasing neck and shoulder tension, extending and
gently twisting the spine are that posture is improved and many back
problems may be greatly reduced and an increase in overall flexibility
will obviously bring benefits. Relaxation techniques are introduced to
calm and focus the mind.
